Beautiful yellow rose on one of our
new plants. So pretty.
Mr. B and I had a fun evening last night at a dinner party hosted by friends Sandy and Dave Steitz. Sandy is one of a handful of women I know who enjoy cooking, so we can always expect a good meal at the Steitz home. Dave actually made the ice cream we had for dessert with our chocolate bundt cake. We were home around 10:30 p.m. and then Mr. B was off to help chaperone a graduation party of 8th graders. I happily propped my foot up and stayed home.

Yesterday I saw some photos online from the International Festival. I wish I could go, just to visit the African area. The photos showed some wonderful trade beads and mud cloth. But if I went I'd hear from my cousin Susan who has been posting messages for me to stay off my foot.

Today I'm creating weed-free flower beds. A couple of weeds are peaking their pesky little heads up in our new garden. Time to get rid of them!
