I'm sitting on the floor working on my computer when I
look around and see Rose and Roz sitting on the couch
together. This never happens! |
Who knew that a shade could cost more than an entire lamp? I found the two shades I needed, but they were expensive! As Mr. B and I are deciding last night whether or not to keep the shades, I was reminded about my aunt Martha. I think she and my uncle Clyde had five children in 10 years, so many things in their home where kept under plastic. I was staying with the oldest four children one time when I decided to be helpful and take the plastic off her lamp shades. I had no idea that anyone would want the clear wrap left on the shades, but learned quickly from her that with a house full of kids, she wanted the plastic on the lamp shades to keep them dust free. Fortunately she gave up on that idea!
After getting the lamp shades yesterday, I spent about an hour in the fabric store. In addition to the aprons I'm making for a gift exchange tomorrow night, I'm also making a bibbed apron for a friend and a half apron for another friend. I was ready to start sewing when I realized that I didn't have red thread. So I got in the Explorer to go get thread, but instead I went to the bookstore and than to the grocery store. Can you say Attention Deficit Disorder?
Today I'm creating aprons. No errands to distract me, except to get thread.
